1. Acceptance of Terms
By using Akea.ai, you agree to these Terms of Service. Akea.ai provides interactive adventure experiences that combine digital storytelling with real-world exploration.
2. User Accounts
You must create an account to use Akea.ai. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. All users must be at least 13 years of age.
3. Safety and Conduct
While using Akea.ai, always prioritize your physical safety. Be aware of your surroundings, follow all local laws and regulations, and do not trespass on private property. Akea.ai is not responsible for injuries sustained during gameplay.
4. Content and Intellectual Property
4.1 AI-Generated Content. Adventures, narratives, puzzles, and dialogue generated by Akea.ai are original works created by artificial intelligence. These works are designed to be IP-safe — they use archetypal traits, genre conventions, and original scenarios rather than copyrighted characters, trademarked names, or protected storylines.
4.2 User-Created Content. You retain full rights to photos, recordings, and other content you personally create during gameplay. By uploading content to Akea.ai, you grant us a non-exclusive license to store and process it for gameplay purposes.
4.3 Book Consolidation and Derivative Works. Akea.ai may use AI-generated adventure content (storylines, puzzles, narrative arcs, and dialogue) to create consolidated books, anthologies, or other derivative works. Your real name, email, or personally identifiable information will never be used in any published or derivative work without your explicit written consent. Any player references in published works will use pseudonyms or be fully anonymized. Player choices, gameplay paths, and story outcomes may be incorporated in anonymized form to create richer narrative compilations.
4.4 No Redistribution. You may not redistribute, republish, or commercially exploit AI-generated adventure content from Akea.ai without prior written permission.
4.5 IP-Safe Generation. All AI-generated content follows our "Traits Not Actors, Formats Not Titles" policy. We do not intentionally reproduce copyrighted characters, trademarked names, or protected creative works. If you believe any generated content infringes on intellectual property rights, contact us at legal@akea.ai.
5. Data and Archival
Akea.ai archives generated stories, audio narrations, puzzles, player choices, outcomes, and gameplay data. This archival serves two purposes: (a) maintaining platform records and improving the service, and (b) enabling optional paid features such as personalized book generation. Archived data is stored securely and handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
6. Sensor and Device Permissions
Certain gameplay features require access to device sensors including camera, microphone, GPS, compass, and motion sensors. You will be prompted for consent before each game session. All sensor data is processed on-device when possible and is never sold to third parties. You may decline sensor permissions with the understanding that some puzzle types may be unavailable.
7. Limitation of Liability
Akea.ai is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to physical injury, property damage, data loss, or interruption of service. You assume all risk associated with real-world exploration activities undertaken during gameplay. Always prioritize your personal safety over gameplay objectives.
8. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continued use of Akea.ai after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
